The year is 1902, and Crown Prince Edward VII of England is to be crowned king. However, in the lead-up to today’s events, he has been blackmailed by the Danish colonel Holtenberg, who intends to overthrow the English monarchy.
Sherlock is designed for teamwork for smaller groups of up to 12 people. You will be divided into 2 groups that must collaborate within their own teams, but also work together across rooms. Sherlock Escape Room is our most challenging puzzle room and requires the entire team to be good at coordinating, communicating and working as a team.

The year is 1902, and Crown Prince Edward VII of England is to be crowned king. In the lead-up to the day’s events, however, he has been blackmailed by the Danish Colonel Holtenberg, who intends to overthrow the English monarchy. The participants’ mission is to break into the Colonel’s house and find the compromising photographs of the Crown Prince and his mistress before they are made public. Participants work as Team Holmes and Team Watson and must collaborate across 2 different rooms in the house, which requires extraordinary teamwork.
In Sherlock, your collaboration is pushed to the limit. The game lasts 75 minutes and requires you to communicate and work effectively together as a team. The rooms feature impressive set design and are filled with period props and well-crafted puzzles.
The Sherlock experience consists of two connected escape rooms and can be run in two different formats – depending on how many of you there are.
Cooperative game
Participants are divided into two teams, each in its own escape room. Here, you work on two separate mysteries that continuously affect each other and come together in one shared story. The experience is designed for 6–12 participants split into two teams and places high demands on communication, coordination and creative problem-solving across the rooms.
VIP experience
This version is the most comprehensive Sherlock Holmes escape room experience in Denmark. You participate together as one team of 3–6 people and have two hours to complete the entire mystery in an intensive, cohesive experience. Both escape rooms must be solved in one continuous session. The VIP format is offered only for a limited period.
Sherlock Escape Room is among the most challenging escape rooms. Here, it is not enough to be quick at solving puzzles – the outcome depends to a great extent on how you collaborate along the way. Only by combining logical thinking, creativity and effective communication can you succeed. Experience shows that around 30% complete the cooperative experience, while approx. 60% complete the VIP experience. Regardless of the outcome, the game offers an intense and memorable experience with unexpected elements along the way.
The extended two-hour VIP version can be booked by contacting us by phone or email. As the experience requires special planning, we first check whether the day’s schedule can be adjusted. The price is fixed and applies to up to six participants. When booking, you therefore select six places – even if you are fewer.
Sherlock Escape Room was developed in-house by Midgaard Event and is the most ambitious escape room project we have created to date. Development has spanned more than 2,000 working hours and includes original puzzles, clear references to the Sherlock Holmes universe, fully realised scenography and atmosphere-building effects. A large part of the props are authentic and more than 100 years old – including locks, books and art objects – which gives the experience a very special depth.
Sherlock Escape Room is an excellent choice for team building if you want to be challenged on teamwork and experience something that differs significantly from classic activities. The experience is suitable for corporate events, social gatherings and private groups – we provide the setting that makes the experience both intense and unforgettable.

Sherlock requires a high degree of teamwork, both with the participants in the room you are in, but also with the team in the other room. There are therefore also many pitfalls and opportunities for interesting observations about teamwork.

The programme combines Sherlock Escape Room with targeted team development and is facilitated by Midgaard Event’s experienced team consultant or our regular external partners. You will work systematically with your team competencies and translate theory into practice in an escape room scenario where collaboration, coordination and communication are crucial to success.
Sherlock Escape Room functions as an effective training space where you clearly experience how communication patterns, roles and decisions affect both process and outcome – experiences that can be transferred directly to everyday work in the workplace.

Sherlock Escape Room can be completed by up to 12 participants at a time. If you are more, the group is divided into teams, and workshops and games are run in parallel over multiple rounds.
