An intense and entertaining escape game in just 30 min. Using teamwork and creativity, you must open the box by solving the associated puzzles, while a screen displays a countdown timer supplemented with hints and atmospheric music.
Escape the Box is an engaging and entertaining activity where participants work in teams at each table to crack creative challenges and unlock the box provided – all within 30 minutes. When the box is opened, a QR code is revealed and scanned, after which both time and results are displayed live on a big screen for all teams.
The game is a flexible, mobile escape concept that is particularly well suited for TEAMBUILDING, COMPANY PARTY, CHRISTMAS DINNER and private events. Our experienced game masters handle the entire execution, and the event is run efficiently in approximately 45 minutes from introduction to finish.
On the table in front of the participants is a locked box and a large wax-sealed envelope, one of each per team.
When the event starts, Dr. Mekanik kicks things off with a shared introduction to set the mood before the competition truly begins. A short countdown is then shown on the screen, and all teams may open their envelopes and start on the tasks. The teams now work intensively, while the atmosphere is reinforced by the countdown and music from the big screen.
Within 30 minutes, the teams must solve the tasks and open the chest, inside which there is a QR code they must scan. Finally, the fastest 3 teams will be announced, and all teams can see their times on the big screen.
Escape the Box can be run for many participants simultaneously and requires only a small amount of table space per team. The event is ideal when there is not enough time for longer activities, as the entire event – from introduction to finish – is completed in approx. 45 minutes. This could, for example, be a break during a meeting day, a short, intense Team building session, or an effective entertainment feature for a festive occasion or CHRISTMAS PARTY.
We can run the event for anything from 1 to 100 teams. All it requires is a little table space for the teams, and AV in the form of a big screen and a sound system suited to the size of the event.
For TEAMBUILDING or CONFERENCE, we recommend team sizes of 3–5 participants so that everyone is actively engaged, but for PARTY and CHRISTMAS LUNCH, teams can be 6–10 participants.
ESCAPE THE BOX is particularly well suited as an energetic feature in a larger programme, but can also be used as a warm-up for one of our longer Team building events such as GODFATHER CLUEDO, 007 CLUEDO, or rounded off with entertaining party features such as CASINO EVENT, COCKTAIL BAR or even DINNER WITH A MURDER MYSTERY

ESCAPE THE BOX can be run in almost all types of venues, e.g. meeting rooms, conference rooms, canteens or function rooms.
There must be a table for each team, and the event can be run with both standing and seated participants.
There must be one or more big screens so all participants can see the countdown timer and hints, and preferably a sound system connected to enhance the atmosphere.
We would like the opportunity to test the screen connection and sound system, but depending on the size of the event, we do not necessarily need access to set up in the room. For smaller events (typically up to 100–200), we can, for example, bring and hand out boxes and envelopes as the event begins, while for larger events (200–1,000) we require that we have set everything out on the tables before people sit down.
Our setup time in the venue can therefore be very short, as long as we have the opportunity to be ready just outside the event room. We spend approx. 1 hour packing down.
We kindly request a back room for changing and equipment, as well as soft drinks/coffee/tea. For larger events with longer preparation time onsite, we will need at least one substantial meal for our actors.
