THE CHALLENGE is a collection of team-building exercises, woven together with an adventure story. Teams compete against each other in a range of different tasks that challenge participants’ physical abilities as well as their wits.

Step into a story where you must compete in challenging team-building exercises requiring teamwork, overview, and sharp thinking. Through a series of fun challenges, participants are put to the test—because only Midgaard’s greatest heroes can help Sir Gabriel and Gandalf in their quest for the magical spell word and thereby win THE CHALLENGE.
Over many years, Midgaard Event has developed this event so it can be effectively tailored to your needs. We provide fun activities and skilled actors who create the atmosphere and guide participants through the challenges they must complete.
Sir Gabriel, together with the wizard Gandalf, has found the recipe for an elixir that grants eternal youth (or something else, at the customer’s request). However, they are missing one final, crucial ingredient: the magical spell word that will complete the incantation. They cannot find it themselves, so they have called upon Midgaard’s greatest and bravest heroes, who through courage and quick thinking will ultimately discover the secret spell word.
THE CHALLENGE consists of a series of fun challenges where participants compete against each other, team versus team. You are divided into teams of 4–8 people and rotate between the set stations, so that by the end of THE CHALLENGE all teams have faced each other. Midgaard Event has developed inventive stations that put adventurers’ physical abilities as well as their wits to the test.

As a customer, in dialogue with our event coordinator, you can put together the stations as you wish to tailor the event to your participants. The game requires cohesion and team coordination, as all challenges are designed so that the teams that work best together have the greatest chance of success. The better you perform at the stations, the greater your chance of ultimately finding the magic word and winning.
The activities are based on different skills, and participants are therefore challenged in coordination, overview, communication, agility, precision, and more. There is not necessarily only one solution to the problems, and creativity may prove to be noticeably rewarded. The difficulty level can be varied as needed, and the exercises can be planned based on most locations.
The game is well suited for employee team building, and in principle everyone can take part regardless of age and gender—but it can also be planned so that even the strongest will break a sweat.
The Challenge is most often run with an adventure theme, but we can adapt it and have also delivered it without a theme, with a gangster theme, a construction theme, and more.
In the adventure theme, we can expand the experience with, for example, MEDIEVAL PARTY, VIKING PARTY or PIRATE PARTY, and we can combine The Challenge with our FANTASY BATTLE if you want action and movement.

The Challenge can be run as OUTDOOR TEAM BUILDING, preferably with access to lawns or open areas. This can be in nature/forest/beach, but most often we run it close to conference centres with good outdoor spaces.
On a few occasions we have held it indoors, but it requires space—so we are talking warehouses, exhibition centres, and the like.
If we do not have access to provide beverages and catering for our actors ourselves (e.g., on private property where the owner wishes to sell these), we must request beverages and a meal for our performers at the buyer’s expense.
