A film premiere is more than a red carpet and welcome drinks. At Midgaard Event, we design complete experiences where the audience steps directly into the film’s universe. Through live events, staging and detailed set design, we create a setting that engages audiences, the media and partners. The result is film premieres that are remembered – and talked about – long after.
What sets us apart is our work with live storytelling. We use professional actors, props, lighting, sound and set design to bring the film’s atmosphere into the real world. Guests are met not only by decoration, but by characters, action and small staged moments that support the story.
Our events are always tailored to the film’s theme, target audience and location – whether the mood is dramatic, humorous, mysterious or spectacular.
Over the years, Midgaard Event has helped create live experiences and promote a wide range of major cinema releases. We have designed and delivered film premieres for both audience favourites and family adventures – where guests encounter the theme, characters and atmosphere from the film’s universe even before the screening. Among the films we have had the pleasure of working with are, for example, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Narnia – The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Narnia – Prince Caspian, Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and 3, Spiderman 3, Night at the Museum, Eragon, Cars, X-Men 3, Night at the Museum and How to Train Your Dragon – and more, drawing audiences into the adventure through live events and creative set design.
Our approach goes beyond the traditional red carpet: We work with dramatized set design, live characters, narrative elements and engaging activities that create experiences for audiences and valuable visibility for the film. Midgaard Event can be involved throughout the process, from concept development to planning and practical execution, ensuring the film premiere becomes a fully cohesive event out of the ordinary.
Film premieres and related events can be delivered very successfully in shopping centres, where the audience is already present. Here, we develop themed experiences in teamwork with centres and cinemas – often as a combination of set design, activities and live characters.
This type of event creates visibility, interaction and footfall and is suitable for film premieres, campaigns and special launch periods.
Another option is a themed experience in the world of the film for staff, customers or partners. This could, for example, be if your company is a partner on the film, if the film’s theme is relevant to your business, or if you have booked a screening or preview at a cinema and wish to add extra flair to the experience.
We have previously, for example, created preview events as customer functions for The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean. Another option is a complete experience with activities – for example an ESCAPE ROOM IN COPENHAGEN ahead of a mysterious film, a MURDER MYSTERY EVENT in true Agatha Christie style, or ROLEPLAY in connection with the launch of adventure films.
