A Gatsby party by Midgaard Event is an elegant and atmospheric corporate party inspired by The Great Gatsby and the glamour of the 1920s. The evening features dinner, casino, drama, and celebration in a luxurious setting where style, togetherness, and experience take centre stage.
Our Gatsby party is rooted in the golden 1920s—a time marked by extravagance, grand ambitions, and exclusive gatherings. The event is designed as a complete evening where scenery, atmosphere, and content work together. Guests enjoy the evening in beautiful surroundings with live elements, excellent food, and time for both conversation and celebration.
A Gatsby party is about more than decorations and music. It is the atmosphere of an exclusive gathering where something is always happening in the room. During dinner and throughout the evening, small dramatic moments and entertaining elements arise, giving the party momentum—without guests having to take on roles or actively engage in a game. The experience unfolds naturally around them.
The Gatsby party is elevated by the overall visual experience. Guests are encouraged to dress in elegant 1920s-inspired style with tuxedos, suits, dresses, pearls, and glamour. This creates a striking, glamorous atmosphere where everyone contributes to the overall impression. The venue is staged with a focus on elegance, decadence, and exclusivity—so the evening feels like a true Gatsby gathering.
Before dinner, GODFATHER CLUEDO in a Gatsby theme can be used as an elegant prelude. The mystery game brings participants together and gives guests something to gather around before dinner begins. It sets the mood and starts conversations, fitting naturally into the glamorous universe.
Alternatively, ESCAPE THE BOX can be included before or during dinner as a flexible activity where guests, in smaller groups, solve tasks at the tables. It creates energy and a sense of community.
During the party itself, CASINO EVENT is an obvious centrepiece. Roulette, blackjack, and poker add classic elegance and serve as both entertainment and a social activity.
If a more dramatic element is desired during dinner, BARON BARTHOLDYS MURDER MYSTERY DINNER can be adapted to the Gatsby theme and deliver a true Agatha Christie atmosphere. The story unfolds as part of the dinner and awakens the inner detective in the participants.
The evening concludes with DJ AND PARTY MUSIC and an atmospheric COCKTAIL BAR, shifting the focus from dinner to dancing, drinks, and socialising.
A Gatsby party can, for example, be structured as follows:

Guests arrive and are welcomed in elegant surroundings.
18:00 – Introduction to the evening
The evening begins with a festive welcome toast to an atmospheric night in true Gatsby spirit, and guests are officially welcomed to the party.

21:00 – The casino opens
CASINO EVENT opens with roulette, blackjack, and poker.
DJ, cocktail bar, and dance floor
DJ AND PARTY MUSIC takes over, COCKTAIL BAR opens, and the party continues.
23:00 – Wrap-up
The evening’s highlights are gathered, and the party continues in a more informal format.
01:00 – Thank you for tonight
The programme is, of course, tailored to your wishes, number of participants, and level of ambition.
